Using RiffRoff

You must have authority to install apps and operate promotions for the Shopify store connected to RiffRoff. You agree to provide accurate settings, use the app lawfully, and follow Shopify’s terms and policies. You are responsible for the referral terms shown to your customers and for reviewing rewards the app flags for review.

App permissions and Shopify services

RiffRoff relies on the permissions approved during Shopify installation to read relevant customer and order information, manage referral discounts and storefront redirects, and issue store-credit transactions. Removing permissions, disabling required Shopify features, or uninstalling the app can stop some or all functionality.

Pricing

RiffRoff includes a 14-day free trial. After the trial, the Standard plan costs US$15 or C$15 every 30 days plus 2.9% of verified referral sales. Usage charges are capped at US$84 or C$84 per billing cycle, so the total charge never exceeds US$99 or C$99 per cycle.

A referral sale is billable only after it clears the configured hold period and review checks and RiffRoff successfully issues the advocate’s store-credit reward. The percentage is calculated from the paid order total reported by Shopify. Referrals paid during the free trial are not charged later. Shopify presents and collects every app charge for merchant approval through the Shopify Billing API.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and the referral ledger accurate, but third-party services, network failures, and Shopify API changes may interrupt it. We may update the app or these terms to improve security, comply with law or Shopify requirements, or change functionality. Material changes will be communicated where required.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using RiffRoff by uninstalling it. We may suspend access to protect merchants or customers, respond to abuse, meet a legal or Shopify requirement, or address a security risk. Privacy-related deletion continues through Shopify’s mandatory redaction process.
